Mental Illness I recently read a short story the title was The Yellow Wallpaper. In this short story there is a girl who moves into a mansion. She thinks she is sick, but her husband other members of her family all tell her that she is fine. In this house that she moved into she is a room that has yellow wallpaper. Mental illness can be cured. A person with a mental illness can go to a doctor and the doctor can prescribe a medication, talk to a counselor or sometimes both. Depression is the most common mental illness, about 350 billion people worldwide suffer from depression. A lot of people think that depression only happens to kids and teens, well that is not true. Depression is common in any age. Adults can be depressed too, not just teens or kids. Sometimes depression comes with anxiety, and that can make a person go down into deeper darkness. A lot of people that are depressed will not go to a doctor or a counselor. They are scared and they don't burden people with their feelings. There is also another very common mental illness is schizophrenia is a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation. Schizophrenia is all in the head, and your thoughts and experiences seem out of touch with reality.
