Harmison et al., (2011) argued that “...mental toughness can best be understood as a multidimensional, relatively stable, social–cognitive personality construct that is characterized by a constellation of specific cognitions and affects centered around key dispositional attributes (e.g., confidence, determination, emotional control)”.
