Mercy hospital provides care to the patients. Due to the increase in the workload of the internal and external stakeholders, it was essential for the mercy hospital to increase the size of its IT department so that the underlying hospital has increased the size of its IT department two years ago in order to fulfill the growing needs. In order to perform the functions of the IT department more effectively, the board of directors of the mercy hospital added the new senior vice president. According to the point of view of the board of directors, the addition of the senior vice president will help the IT department to perform its functions with more quality and the issues faced by the IT department will be easily resolved. In order to resolve the issues faced by the IT department of the mercy hospital, it is essential for the management of the mercy hospital to identify the responsibilities provided to the individuals. The mercy hospital expanded the IT department due to the increase in the workload but did not increase the number of employees working in the IT department. The existing quantity of the employees is minimum in order to manage the work of the IT department.
