The two most common hosts of a Plasmodium parasite are mosquitoes and humans. Animals have also been known to be infected by the plasmodium parasite. This parasite is transmitted by a mosquito into another host by injecting Sporosziotes into its victim. After that, the Sporosziotes travels into the bloodstream then into the liver infecting the liver cells. While in the liver, the Sporosziotes multiply into thousands of merozoites. The merozoites then go back into the bloodstream and causes an illness called malaria. When a mosquito bites a human with the Plasmodium parasite, it sucks up the blood with the parasite in it.
