Recently this year, Obama joined her husband and U.S. President, Barack Obama to start the organization Let Girls Learn. It is a U.S. government wide enterprise that’ll support girls around the world in getting an education, which is something that she cares profoundly about. She is calling on countries all over the world to help teach and inspire young girls and she’s sharing the stories of struggles that these girls experienced with people at home in order to inspire them to continue to pursue their education. Obama strives for others around the world to hear their story and put forth effort into helping them pursue their dreams and have promising futures. Obama explains, “I have been through a lot of hardships. I know that I need to overcome them.” She said, “I’ve never thought that they are the barrier to stop me.
