Ned Kelly was an evil villain, right?
Ned Kelly was a victim to the injustice legal system as well as the corrupt police of the early colonial days. Some people believe that Ned either was a simply cold hearted killer or a bank robber when poor Ned did it through full self-defence and also to protect his family. Ned had only 2 years for education and found it hard to explain his actions on his own. Ned’s family as well as al his friends grew up in the great era of poverty.
Ned Kelly was a victim of the corrupt police force. Police in the early colonial days were very brutal due to their power and status (Wilkinson, 2002). Also, when fighting in the Glenrowan involved only greedy police wanting the reward that was landed on Ned’s head almost 2 million Australian 2012 dollars.
