Toba Beta once said: "“Justice could be as blind as love.” Shakespeare 's play A Midsummer Night 's Dream captures the blind bias of both love and justice. Egeus, a respected nobleman in Athens, arranged for his daughter, Hermia, to marry nobleman Demetrius. Egeus tells his daughter that she must obey his wishes: if she does not, she can either choose to become a nun, or die. Hermia, much to her father 's dismay, is deeply in a mutual love with a different nobleman, Lysander.

When people normally think of love, they probably think of butterflies in the stomach, mushy gushy feeling, and everything being perfect. In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, love is represented in completely different ways. Four of the main women are all in relationships, but they all represent a different type of love.
Have you ever fallen in love with someone who has no interest in you and doesn’t love you back? Did that person suddenly start loving you out of nowhere? In A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, Helena’s hunger for love brings out a desperate side in her and takes her through interesting adventures with love. One can infer that love is hurtful by how Helena reacts to love in a foolish manner and remains skeptical about it even near the end of the play.
Some people feel that it`s quite challenging locating differences between a written story and its film, though, however, some people find it considerably simple to detect differences between the pair. A Midsummer Nights Dream was undoubtedly great cinematic film made in 1999. However, the written play of A Midsummer Nights Dream was much more detailed and more informational. The differences I noticed were the following: The Indian boy and his role, the setting, characters and examples of similarities. First of all, the primary anomaly I noticed implies the Indian boy and his role during the piece.
The love of Queen Titania is not real and it is just caused by the potion. We also relate the scene where Robin turns Nick’s head to a Donkey. It is a fantasy, because Nick thinks that he is still himself, but others see his huge donkey head. We can relate the scene to where King Oberon ordered Robin to give the potion to Queen Titania to fell inlove with Nick Bottom to the philosophy paroxysm.

In the last scene of the play, act V scene I, the audience experience there is different thought of Theseus and Hippolyta in interpreting the love stories of Hermia, Lysander, Helena, Demetrius and the imaginations of many other characters. The scene of Theseus talking to Hippolyta lead to a controversy about the value of imagination and reason. The point of view changed the complication of love because all the different characters feel a different way. They all don't know about everything that has happened they don't know about the love potion which causes many issues, and drama to happen. In, “ A midsummer night’s dream,” by William Shakespeare,3.2.314, Helena says, “ I pray you, though you mock me.” This perception of this whole conflict has changed because Helena thinks that everyone is mocking her and the reason why is because Hermia told them all too. No one knows about the love potion so it seems to Helena everyone is mocking her because Robin making Demetrius and Lysander fall in love with her.
The use and misuse of magic are of great importance in the play, A Midsummer Night 's Dream. It is a recurring theme that is mostly seen with Puck. The use of magic by Puck helps in creating conflict, humor, and balance in play. Shakespeare employs this device in his play to mainly build and establish the theme of love. The role of magic in A Midsummer Night’s Dream is seen as an interference with the human world, however it is still separate from the human protagonists (Noone, 2010).
1.My initial impression is that Theseus and Hippolyta will get married in four days, but Theseus is impatient with how slowly the time is moving .Hyppolyta thinks that the wedding time will arrive soon because they only have to wait for days more. 2.The main genre of this selection is comedy but could also be fantasy.

Although there are many different themes that readers can interpret, one that really stands out is that love is difficult. This theme is supported when Hermia 's father tries to tear Hermia and Lysander apart and they decide the best decision is to run away together. Also Oberon and Titania can 't stand each other and always get into arguments. The love potion throughout the play messed up Titania and Oberon’s true love.
