The US military plays a major role in the defense system of the world. Their role can be in the form of military aid, deployment of the military and deployment of the Coast Guards and the protection of people’s lives and freedom.
The US is well known for providing military aid to many different countries. The aim of military aid is usually to help allies or poor countries to fight terrorism, counter-insurgencies or to help fight drug wars. The aid may be in the form of training, or even giving credits for foreign militaries to purchase weapons and equipment.

In this phase, it mostly involves the performance of military duties in support of the mission either overseas or within the United States. These military duties revolve around the soldiers’ loyalty, respect and personal courage. The soldiers have the responsibility to defend the US Constitution but they are also expected to be loyal to their fellow soldiers, unit and army as a whole. They have to help other soldiers in need especially when on the battlefield. They should also respect their fellow soldiers and those of higher ranks. Their duties include having to go onto the battlefield, where it involves bloody scenes and requires a strong mentality. They have to have the courage to go on even if it seems tough and scary because that is what they are trained for. In the end, the most important thing that they have to protect is the wellbeing and security of the country.
In the post deployment phase, service members, or soldiers return to their home installation and prepare to go back to their normal lives. The active duty service members will be ready to return to their normal jobs on the installation.
The second cycle is the reserve deployment cycle, where the pre-deployment phase is somewhat similar to the active duty pre-deployment phase, in which the service member is living what they call a normal life. Even the deployment and post …show more content…

This is because the United States government is so large, it is virtually impossible to track all of the various federal agencies’ programs across countries and sectors to pinpoint the exact number or amount of assistance their government provides, in terms of the citizens’ taxpayer dollars going to foreign government, or even just their militaries. However, we can focus on the three main programs where military funding is allocated, namely foreign military financing(FMF), peacekeeping operations(PKO), and the International Military Education and Training Program(IMET). In foreign military financing, some of their objectives include to improve the military capabilities of key friendly countries to contribute to international crisis response operations, including peacekeeping and humanitarian crises, to promote bilateral, regional and multilateral coalition efforts, notably in the global war of terrorism and to assist the militaries of friendly countries and allies to procure U.S defense articles and services that strengthen legitimate self-defense capabilities and security needs. FMF is vital to supporting U.S coalition partners in the war on terrorism.
