You would need equipment, determination, and know what mining techniques would be best for you, but also what effects would happen to the environment because of mining. You would need a lot of equipment like food and warm clothes to stay alive. You would also need to know your mining method, whether panning or all the way to dredging. But also what effects on the environment your mining techniques would have.Mining for gold during the Klondike gold rush took alot of equipment, skill, and mining.

While mining in the Klondike gold rush and other places up north you would need other equipment other than the mining equipment.

Hydraulic Mining was a method of mining widely used from 1853 to 1884 (Extracting Gold From The Earth). Water is the main agent in this method of mining.
