In 1984 by George Orwell, he touches on how minority groups human rights are more violated than the majority or the main group that is in power in the government.For example, the majority of the population in America is caucasian, and in America many caucasians can get away with more crimes or malevolent actions or ideas than other minority groups can. Another example of this would be in Iraq where the government is dominated by men, which make sure that they keep the minority feeling inferior to them.Countries will also abuse children’s human rights by making them fight in the army. Many countries will say that they do not abuse their peoples right, and as a whole, they may not, but when you narrow it down to minority groups they tend to limit or violate their basic human rights. One big minority group that tends to be limited or violated is women. For example in Iraq, they follow the rules of the Quran, which has many religious rules oppressing women. One of the rules is that the husband will always be above his wife no matter what. It also says that a man can beat his wife for whatever and whenever he wants too. Another example would be the Democratic Republic of Congo. Daniele Selby wrote an article about the ten worst countries to live, and she says about the DRC that it is filled with violence and rape. For example, she says ”more than 60% of Congolese women aged 15-49 have experienced violence — around 50% as recently as the past year.” This shows that women living
