I believe minors should have the freedom to create their own personal web pages: however, I also believe that the pages in which they operate should be less personal and more generalized as to avoid the negative consequences that come with sharing online, such as the world can see (including your future boss), cyberbullying, and lost time - “sharing is caring”, just not online. When minors decide to post on any form of social media, that is time lost in which could have been spent more productively, rather than counterproductively; for instance, spending time with family, studying, and or thinking long term reality, rather than wasting time thinking, “what kind of selfie would get me the most likes today?” I, a minor myself, do not post pictures nor comment often, because the thought that a keyboard warrior will virtually attack me for my post - to say the least - frustrates me. Personal web pages to the minor that is awkward, shy, and most anti-social - like myself - are considered a safe haven, where we can post online what we would never say in real life in hopes of connecting with people much like ourselves.
