Some examples include the National Council of Churches of Christ, the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish, but Wilson listed other too. He also briefly mentions that impoverished people and ruined environments affect each other directly. Wilson recognizes in the next paragraph that reluctance from the religious right can come from the view of environmental activism as an issue for the political left or reminiscent of paganism. However, Wilson ensures that this viewpoint may be shifting in the eyes of the Republican Party and he believes that “the opportunity exists to make the environment a universal concern” and not make it a political
During the middle ages, a perfect woman was not the one who baked the best pies, had the most orderly house, or well-behaved children all while keeping in perfect shape, but was instead a woman who was pious, loving, and charitable. Hroswitha’s The Conversion of the Harlot Thais, Thais is an imperfect woman living in sin and Father Pafnutius takes it upon himself to save her soul by throwing her in the prison of an abbey for three years. She is finally redeemed and “perfect” according to Paul’s vision in which the Divine tells him, “This glory is not as you hope for Antonius, but for Thais the whore.”
The novel “Ishmael An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit” by Daniel Quinn explores the problems of society, culture, and the world. Humans are thriving in the world currently: we have developed language, mastered fire, and have dominion over agriculture. But while doing this humans have caused many massive problems, and are continuing to do so. Humans have great power over the world but do not fully understand the consequences. If we do not stop destroying the earth and environment, then humans will not survive.

David Suzuki David Suzuki was a very important environmentalist he was a scientist, television personality, author, and activist. One of the quotes David Suzuki said was “The environment is so fundamental to our continued existence that it must transcend politics and become a central value of all members of society.” What I think this quote means is that the environment is very important, and that we need to have it be a more important/serious topic. I think the quote means that the environmental issues should be taken more seriously or be more important than politics. David Suzuki was an important and influential figure in history that had a positive impact on the world, because he made David Suzuki foundation where you could and can still

People showed a religious viewing to Europeans and believed environmental determinism as atheistic and materialistic. Throughout the years, religious explanations became unpopular. Then, people started to believe that the superiority was based on race and environment.
Do people really know what they are buying at the store? Do they know that most of the fruits and vegetables have pesticides in them? Do they know that there are some everyday activities that can help the environment? In Derrick Jensen and Stephanie McMillan “As the World Burns: 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Stay in Denial,” they talk about how everyone can help save our planet. For example, changing the light bulbs in the house to fluorescent light, riding bikes instead of driving, and recycling can also help.
Lucy Snowe, we learn, is a twelve year old young lady whose guardian has a "nice looking house in the perfect town of Bretton." Lucy Snowe visits her god parent twice per year, remaining with her alone and with no one of her own family. Later, this town of Bretton is entirely in England. Lucy's godmother has an indistinguishable name from the town she lives with her adolescent child. Lucy enjoys staying in the place of the Brettons; however she doesn't appear to expect love or general support the family, just to be endured respectably.

It is humanities destiny to become what we have regardless of the consequences.

However, history has shown the consequences of defying it. The Dust Bowl occurred because farmers plowed up sod across the high plains when precipitation was high. This resulted in dust storms that tore across the plains-- causing mass migration. Similarly, Santiago and the caravan’s journey through the desert show many implications of sustainability. When the nights were bitter, “the travelers arranged the animals in a circle at night, sleeping together in the center”
