Movies have been effectuated with different types of elements to create a phenomenal film. The element Mise-en-Scene has provided a critical part to the film and imagination. It gives the viewers a better understanding of the movie with a cinematic view. The setting, props, lighting effects, and composition are what make a movie spectacular. I believe these elements where perfectly implemented in this Academy Award Winning movie Avatar. This film takes us to the middle of the 22th century where humans are trying to establish a new colony in a different star system called Pandora. This Pandora contains a tribe called Navi that contains humanoid species that are indigenous to Pandora. Understanding this particular setting can help the viewers determine where and what year the movie takes place. Couple of the characters introduce in this film are Sam Worthington who plays Jake sully, a disabled marine that helps the humanoids from human beings, and Zoe Saldana who plays a humanoid specie named Neytiri. Introducing the characters helps the audience depict who is the good and who is the bad. This also establishes the background of the characters and lets the audience know what kind of personality each character portrays. The props in this movie are simply the artifacts used to establish the era of the film and it lets the audience identify what category of genre the film is, also known as iconography. Few of the artifacts in this movie are guns, boots. The humanoid species are seen wearing arm band, chockers, herb pouch, head dresses. The image details and how Mise-en-scene appear in this film is perfectly executed and well organize. This film contains a tremendous amount of constant motion image. The scene where Jake sully defends the humanoid species shows us how the focus of the camera remain perfectly aligned to Jake sully as he was flying around with a creature defending the humanoid and faster shots where also viewed during the duration of the combat scene. These camera adjustments and aligning the perfect angle contributes so much to the quality of the movie. This also creates a cinematic perception to the
