What does Miss Representation suggest about the way women are represented in the media?
Miss representation suggests that women are treated unequally and are poorly represented in the media. Young teenage girls are taught from a young age that their looks are what matters. It doesn't matter how smart you are or how talented you are, If you’re not this size, or this shape you're not good enough. The media over sexualizes women and makes them look unrealistically artificial. Models are being photoshopped to look absolutely flawless and it gives an incorrect representation of real women and real bodies in society.

In terms of representation of women, what is the problem with mainstream Hollywood films?
The problem with mainstream Hollywood films is that women aren’t presented with different body types. Men are of all sizes in these films, but women are to all look the same.Women will watch movies with men in them, but men won't watch movies with women in them. Both this problems are serious ones and have a serious affects on how women and girls see themselves. Watching a movie and seeing women with all the same body types can make a women feel like her body is abnormal, not good enough, or needs to change herself to be accepted into society. Why do you think this is?
During prime time television, majority of female characters were 20-35 years old. I think the reason is because this is the age when women are old enough to be sexual beings, but young enough to still be considered wild, fun, immature, and beautiful. Society has made it so you are considered old and unfun when you hit age 35 and I think the reason is because as you grow you mature and I believe that society things that a woman's body is no longer beautiful as if becomes older or it is no longer attractive to look
