Amy Jade Winehouse was born on September 14, Southgate England 1983. Even before Winehouse was born she was destined to a musician like few, but very special, family members. Aunts and uncles as professional jazz artists, it was hard not to like music in the Winehouse family. Parents Mitch and Janis Winehouse themselves were no musicians but, as cab driver and pharmacist they saw potential in their bundle of joy. Winehouse’s time spent there was supposed to bring joy and education, but it didn’t last to long. After getting her first guitar, Winehouse was soon kicked out of Sylvia Young. Teachers and classmates said that Amy Winehouse wasn’t letting her potential breakthrough. Not to mention her nose peircing. Winehouse loved singing at that point and ended up having her close friend Tyler James, record a video of her singing at age fourteen.
