Marilyn was born June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. Marilyn Monroe was born with the name Norma Jeane but then in 1956 she legally changed her name to the name we all know her by, Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn was in and out of foster homes throughout her childhood. Although, there are many iconic and influential people in the world Marilyn Monroe has been the most influential.

Monroe created an image of her own and stuck to it. Created her own style, and unique character. Even today in media she is still talked about because she left a very important impact on the world. Marilyn Monroe did many things in her life time and accomplished a lot. In Marilyn’s time she created a lot of firsts which will forever be in history.
