The leader I choose to focus on was David. I feel as if David is a great example of someone who we can learn a great deal from. While even the great king David himself made mistakes the lord himself said that David was a man of his own heart, can you imagine receiving a compliment like this from God himself that has to be an astonishing feeling. David did have some follies in his life but there is always something that we can learn from in this mistakes.

Foremost, some of the mistakes that David made in his life. One of the first mistakes David makes is disobeying God, God told David that he was to lead the Israelites in battle but instead David stays in Jerusalem. Furthermore David sleeps with the wife of one of his generals, gets her pregnant, attempts to cover it up, and when that fails he basically sends the man to his death. The chapter ends with “But the thing David had done has displeased the Lord” (2 Samuels 11:27). …show more content…

David’s story begins with him defeating the giant goliath after his heroic feats and battle prowess Sual ( the first king of Israel) offers his daughter to David. After a while Sual grows jealous of David because of his popularity and influence so Sual threatens him with physical harm. After fleeing from Saul, David is given an opportunity to kill him but decides not to for it’s not what God would want. David is then anointed king after Saul died this is where some of his mistakes take place including the one with Bathsheba and their relationship. David’s second son, Solomon, with Bathsheba would go on to be the third king of
