I have always been interested in digging out more information about the conflicts that is happening right now in the Middle East. What is the root cause of all the chaos? Why does it last so long and doesn’t seem to end? Why do the world leaders allow it to happen and pretend there is nothing wrong? No matter how much research is done, nobody can experience is worse than the innocent civilians who are greatly affected by the tragedy.
One of the tragedies that happened was the Lebanese Civil War in the year 1975. In this war, the people in Lebanon wanted the freedom and rights as civilians as they felt that, for a majority-Muslim country, there was a slight injustice in the system as the people were not being perfectly represented in the government since their leader was a Christian. They wanted a more powerful voice of a Muslim representative in the government. So what happened was that the Maronite Christians and the Palestinian refugees started fighting, and the Palestinian refugees became allies with the Lebanese Muslims. The fights went on for many painful years. During this period, other countries like Israel and Syria also got involved. They fought with different groups throughout the war. In 1989, an agreement was signed and the war was put to an end.
