Bacteria are living things that have only one cell. Under a microscope, they look like balls, rods, or spirals. Many are helpful. Some bacteria help to digest food, destroy disease-causing cells, and give the body needed vitamins. Bacteria are also used in making healthy foods like yogurt.
Desma Hamilton Mr. Swartzendruber American History 21 August 2015 We’ve heard many stories about police shooting people… and this is another one of those cases. In St. Louis this week, Mansur Ball-Bey, an 18 year old, was shot in the back after getting into a disagreement with local officers. It’s said that officers were carrying out a search warrant in the north part of the city when two men ran out the back of a house. According to Dotson, the chief of police, Ball-Bey had turned and pointed at a gun, therefore causing the officers to fire.
they may attack almost any living organism. Viruses will invade a cell in the body and uses part of the cell to multiple causing new viruses to produce. Bacteria are much larger than viruses. they live everywhere. many bacteria will not cause an infection.
It’s a widely held myth that University of Florida entomologists introduced Plecia nearctica into Florida as means to control insect population however, love bugs, as this species is more commonly known as, actually migrated across the Gulf Coast from Mexico through human activities. Despite the humorous implications of the common name, given because of their ability to copulate while in flight for hours, it does not emphasize the controversy that surrounds its invasive appearance in the Southern states of America. These states found that the species was detrimental to the abiotic environment initially but as it turns out, with time, the species adapted to actually become helpful to the biotic environment. What was initially seen as a nuisance became an integral part of the agricultural ecosystem despite it being an unintended consequence through increased human activities. The ecological effects of Plecia nearctica start with its evolution and adaptation to the Southern states in America and
Imagine in the extremely hot and dry Arabian Desert in south East Asia two potentially very dangerous animals engage in combat. The two animals are the incredibly venomous King Cobra and the other animal is the very agile Indian Gray Mongoose. Which animal will be victorious? Scientists have studied the traits and adaptations of the animals for centuries. If a King Cobra and an Indian Grey Mongoose were to engage in combat then based on the information the Indian Grey Mongoose would be victorious.
Phylum Cnidarian a. Feeding Cnidarians have only one opening called the gastrovascular cavity. This is where the food enters and the waste leaves. Cnidarians are hunters. They paralyze their prey before putting it in their mouth.
The use of antibiotics leads to the emergence of bacteria resistant to those same antibiotics. This bacteria can then contaminate the food and in turn cause anti-biotic resistant infections in the consumer. Certain methods used to increase yield or meet FDA regulations such as washing meat in liquid ammonia introduces harmful chemicals into the body. Ammonia in its pure form
What; they are bacteria that live in or on a person always and remains a part of the person throughout their life they become a host for them to grow. Where They are typically located on the skin, mucous membranes, digestive tract, upper respiratory tract, distal, urethra and vagina. They are also called resident flora, we offer them a safe place for them and they offer us some benefits because they live on you all the time that why they are called resident flora. For example, if you were to live in a town or city you will be a resident of that town or city. When a person is healthy and not sick they will live peacefully without causing any problems to the person.
Domain: Eukarya This domain contains all organisms that have eukaryotic cells, including members of the kingdoms Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia. This means that they store DNA in the nucleus within each of their cells. Kingdom: Animalia All members of this kingdom are multicellular and heterotrophic, in other words, they are consumers. They do not have cell walls, and most of them are mobile for at least some part of their lives. Aside from these characteristics, kingdom Animalia is incredibly diverse.
Instead, it allows dangerous compounds to enter the body. That’s where nutrition can come in. The right
The five kingdoms of life are monea, protista, fungi, plantae , and animalia, which include animas like clams. Within the Animalia kingdom that are different groups, each which are called phylums, and clams are considered in the phylum group known as mollusks. Mollusks which derive from the latin word mollis, means "soft". In the world ther are 1500 different kinds of mollusks whome are grouped into six different classes. One of these classes are called bivalves, which are aquatic mollusks because they their shells close together along their upper midline.
A Paleontologist is a scientist who studies fossils. Fossils, that are preserved remains of ancient life, are usually found in rocks. They record the history of life on earth. A paleontologist studies fossils that range from small bacteria to gigantic dinosaurs. Paleontology is the study of the history of life.
INTRODUCTION: Quick look at your hands do you see them. (attention) Do I see what you might be asking? Well the millions of bacteria that are currently hanging out on your hands.
Raw Arguments Raw food are more likely to contain pathogenic bacterium then cooked food. Raw diet involves higher health risk such as food poisoning. Raw food do not contain enough energy for human brains.
Bacteria that causes disease are called pathogens. The disease is caused by a poison called exotoxin and endotoxin produced by the bacteria. Another microbial life are protist. They are unicellular eukaryotes. Types of protist includes protozoans and slime molds.
