Ellie was six years old and lived in a two room beach house with her parents. The house itself was not all that great, but she loved it there. She loved the beautiful waves that crashed on her little feet and how the wind blew blonde curls into her big, blue eyes. She loved the way the salty smelling air greeted her every time she walked out of the door. When she would run, her long toes would become caught in the grainy sand and she would stumble. Her parents adored her and each time that she fell, they would give her a little chuckle. She would hop right back up, brush the sand off of her bright pink sundress and start all over again. Her hunt for seashells never ceased, and each one, no matter how cracked or fragile, became a treasure to her. She would never let them go. Ellie had a yearning to be tall and big like her parents. She wanted to wear makeup and impress a boy like her mom did every day. She wanted to be strong and intelligent like her daddy. But she, in her 6 year old, kindergarten head had to be who she was right then and there. She doubted it, but Ellie was the epitome of her mother in everything except size.
