What is one lonely, abandoned and desperate women to do? Selina finds her spirit grasped by the harsh snare of bitter reality-both of her parents are gone. An internal fight persists within herself-is she to stay in Chicago and find some sustainable work? Not likely. Teaching would be so difficult-or would it. No she says, I can do this, I can make this work. Next thing she knows Selina finds herself teaching ignorant, cold and poor little children in the middle of nowhere. This really isn’t bad she tells herself repeating that over and over again till it’s ingrained in her mind.
