The Northern Spotted Owl is currently classified as threatened and is currently undergoing conservation efforts in order to bring its population numbers back up. The Northern Spotted owl is the largest of the three subspecies of spotted owls. They are medium sized, dark brown owls with barred tails and white spots on their head and breast. The males are slightly larger than the females and are often confused with the barred owl. They are primarily nocturnal but still forage opportunistically during the day.
To attain a goal, one needs a foundation: the hard work and effort to complete it. Thoreau understood that aspirations are more of a vision, and to reach that 'castle in the sky ', there needs to be a structure to support
I always have a backup plan. I feel that no matter what happens in my future I will end up happy no matter the problem. In this essay I will describe why I should be in your college and the benefits it will not only do for me, but the rest of the world too. Since I was young I have always had one dream; to end up somewhere in the medical field. I know a lot of people whose dream changes almost every day, and that 's
My future plans include going off to Utica College for nursing. I have known my major since I was five years old and my education that has been provided has only encouraged my decision. Even though I am going off into the medical field, my time spent playing sports, being in the drama club, national honors society, and participating in community has actually influenced my decision to do so. The mission statement to be educationally affective and academically effective has been shown through and through here at Little
In third grade, I was assigned to create a project illustrating what I wanted to be when I grew up. At this time, due to my positive experiences with doctors and my desire to help others, especially children, I decided to describe the role of a pediatrician as my future career. Throughout my childhood, whenever asked about my future aspirations, I confidently declared that I would attend medical school and become a pediatrician. However, as I developed, the answer to this question slowly began to evolve as I gained a deeper understanding of my values and the people I desired to serve through medicine.
As a child I was very fortunate to have a family like my own; my parents were truly happy and wholly in love. I was incredibly close with my siblings and still am today despite our little fights. Along with being close to my siblings my father and I had a great relationship; most people who knew me would have considered me a “daddy’s girl”. Growing up my father was remarkably proud of my grades and who I was becoming as a person. Oftentimes he would brag about me to anyone who listened.
With that in mind, I ask myself what I want to achieve in life. Simply put, I want to experience all that there is to experience in the world. I want to leave this world with an impact as great as Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther king Jr. I want to be the President of the United States and be able to change the world.
When people grow up, they always dream of being successful and becoming something important, such as a doctor or a nurse. My childhood and present-day dream is to become a Veterinarian Technician. I chose this occupation because of my passion for animals and my big heart. This career consists of multiple tasks being asked of the person, and being able to multi-task and have multiple skills. Whenever people hear the words, “Veterinarian Technician,” they focus mainly on the Veterinarian part, if anything.
To succeed in life, an individual must pursue their passion, without an ulterior motive, rather altruistically to do what they love in life. Life should not be filled with regrets, rather taken advantage to the maximum, and fulfilled with passion, vigor, adventure, bravery, and ambition. Only then, can one state that they have completed their bucket list and done everything imaginable in their
The American Dream is still developing and transforming in a way. Even so, such as in the Ronald Reagan speech, it states “Once you began a great movement, there’s no telling where you’ll end. We meant to change a nation, and instead, we changed the world”. This quote suggests that there have been various changes and challenges within a person’s life or dream. In fact, an evolution has been rediscovered, we are to emerge or drive ourselves to continue to cause tremendous change.
Over the past four years I have dealt with circumstances that have affected me positively and allowed me to grow. I have gained much perspective, determination, and responsibility. These qualities have aided my highschool career and help me continue to succeed in college. I plan on going into engineering; the Honors College is the place where I want learn exactly what branch of engineering that I want to pursue. My ultimate goal is to become a well rounded person and student; I want to take full.
I want to earn my way up to a good university and earn my degree, apply to an outstanding dental school and start my long years of residency that lie before me. One of my goals in the future is to help others in need for medical attention. It makes me happy when I see others happy. I want to give back to my community and help others so I can earn the respect that I’ve always wanted.
My future goal is to become an Occupational Therapist. They help patients to recover and improve skills needed for daily living and working. I plan to attend either Gannon or St. Francis University to pursue my degree in this field. Both schools offer the five year program which combines a bachelor and master degree. My plan is to pass my knowledge onto the people I care for to better their quality of life.
Growing up surrounded by several people in the medical field, I had always pondered what I would be when I grew up. When I was about eight years old, I was determined to grow up and be a cardiologist, just like my uncle. At a young age, I was fascinated by the heart, it interested me that one thing controlled so much in the human body. However that dream changed as I grew older, as much as I would love being the one to save someone’s life, I realized that responsibility was entirely too much for me. I have had many different dreams about my future; such as being a basketball player, a teacher, and even a model.
There are a lot of things in this world that would make the world a better place. And I feel that being a welder and working in sports medicine are two of them. I know that those two fields of work would affect the world around me. I would maybe one day work for the NFL and help all the players get better. Me helping the players will make the world better because everyone loves football.
