In third grade, I was assigned to create a project illustrating what I wanted to be when I grew up. At this time, due to my positive experiences with doctors and my desire to help others, especially children, I decided to describe the role of a pediatrician as my future career. Throughout my childhood, whenever asked about my future aspirations, I confidently declared that I would attend medical school and become a pediatrician. However, as I developed, the answer to this question slowly began to evolve as I gained a deeper understanding of my values and the people I desired to serve through medicine. In 2014, I transitioned to a Title I middle school in a medically underserved area, where I was exposed to the difficulties faced by children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Unlike my classmates, I, and everyone I grew up with, always had access to basic necessities. This realization made me recognize how the absence of these items I took for granted negatively impacted the health of my peers. Determined to make a difference, I implemented two projects that provided students with a renovated clothing closet and hygiene carts where they could access products throughout the day without fear or shame. This captivated me, and since then, I have been devoted to becoming a PA. After graduating high school, I chose a small university that would allow me to pursue my interests in public health while gaining valuable healthcare experience to prepare me for a career as a PA. Early in my undergraduate journey, I began working as a receptionist at an urgent care. This role allowed me to interact with patients and create connections with the entire clinical
