mI have been fortunate in having the opportunity to work as a bank healthcare assistant at Hereford County Hospital. Within my role, I have been able to enhance my knowledge and gain first-hand experience within various of clinical environments, and gain a wider prospective of the roles and responsibilities within the healthcare profession. I feel that I have been able to develop a variation of new qualities that has helped achieve high standards to all aspects of my role. For the last year, I have been successful enough to gain further knowledge in higher education on a foundation degree in health and social care at Worcester University, I have now entered my final year to complete my level 5 in Health and social care. I will ensure that all equipment used is safe and suitable for use and be able to report any issues appropriately to the nurse in charge. I will be able to recognise and demonstrate my own learning by completing mandatory training and any other training required to ensure I can identify my own professional development.
· communication - This would be used on a mandatory basis asan Assistant practitioner by communicating with the wider multidisciplinary team regarding any concerns, or changes within the child. Also communicating with managers regarding any concerns or issues as well as holding professional relationships with staff and families.
· commitment - This would be used daily when completing tasks as an Assisntant practitioner and supporting and showing flexibility to the role. I would thrive on this opportunity and I will personally always go the extra mile to ensure that I am flexible to the role by helping with extra shifts if needed.
· courage - This is used within different situations whilst being a an Assistant practitioner to show that you are willing to go to the extra mile to achieve your role to a high standard and to be able to deal with an emergency in a calm profession
