Death; The Most Influential Figure In History
Death is both the greatest inspiration and the greatest downfall of the human race. Death is constant throughout all of history and is what gives our mere human lives meaning. Without death humans would just be flecks of life on a rock hurling through space. Death is the most influential figure in history by inspiring humanity, its finality, and being the great uniter of all forms of life. Death inspires humans on a daily basis. When a loved one dies often times it creates depression and grief in the ones left behind. These emotions are very powerful and often are long term. People who can not cope with death often turn to drugs or alcohol to numb their pain, which can have consequences such as addiction or abandoning your family. Death can be a great motivator as well. After being told their precious Joan of Arc had been burned at the stake by England, France then had the motivation to fight harder and win the 100 Years War. Mainy civil rights movements and social justice movements have been inspired by death. When Michael Brown was shot in Ferguson Saint Louis people rioted. Michael now has his own memorial commemorating his death. Death inspires the human race to continue living as well.
