Teresa Of Calcuta: The Mother Of Charity When do you ever get to walk the same earth as one of your idols? Well, I haven't, but my parents have, and that's pretty cool to me. One of my idols in Mother Teresa. She died in 1997, just five years before I was born. She left a mark on this earth that will never be swept away. She cared for the sick and suffering. She devoted her entire life to charity. And not many Roman Catholic's decide to do that. She would be the perfect person to spend fourteen Tuesday's with. Mother Teresa is a very important person to me. She may not be a saint yet, but I truly beleive she should be canonized as soon as possible. She is such a great example for many people, young or old. She teaches us to care for the poor. Even if we can't do great things, we can do small things with great love. This quote from Mother Teresa truly speaks to me because I am that type of person who can't find anything special about themselves. But this quote reveals that all that matters is the love and compassion we do things with. She was just a little old nun that did great things, young people like me would probably not want to do. When I grow up, I want to give back to the world. God has blessed me with so many things. One of them being the gift of coming to a Catholic school. There is just so much to learn from and about her. I would ask her how she manages to be so patient. She cared for so many people yet she did it with so much love and care. She helped everyone who needed it. Whether they lived in poverty or they were wealthy. She couldn't have done it without patience. There is no other better person to learn the meaning of patience from, than her. Mother Teresa always stayed faithful to God. Even When she was taking care of several people, she always remained faithful to God. Sometimes it's hard for me to recognize, God is there. There are times that are so hard, I just say I'm done. But the beautiful thing is we're all human! We all have our hard times. I have my hard times, Mother Teresa did too. Sometimes though, it's just difficult pm when things seem like there isn't a resolution, to know that God, in fact is there. There are many other things I would like to ask her, but the third and final thing I'm going to share, is how to love and see the beauty in our neighbors. Mother Teresa said, "If you judge people, you don't have time to love them." Everyone is guilty of this. Gossip plays a huge role. Both you and me are guilty of talking behind someone's back. No one can deny that they've never gossiped about someone. Most people just focus on the bad things in the other person, but do we ever take the time to really look at
