The definition of immigration is a person leaving his home country and moving to another one in which he/she does not own a citizenship. There are many reasons why people want to escape from the country they live in. For example, if there is a war in the place where the person is living, he would want to go to a safer place. There are many reasons why people want to escape from their home country. For example, the standard of living in the place where a person was born is very low, and wants to find a better place with a higher one. When people think to immigrate at first they think about the countries where the currency is high and where the standard of living is high. These types of people do not always measure the fact that in these countries everything is very expensive and very difficult to start living there. In the history of humanity there have been many wars. During every war many innocent people die because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. These people have not participated in the war, but they were just living in the place where the war was happening. For example, during World War I many civilians died, even though they were not taking part in the war, they did not have the chance to escape from it. In the years of the World War I the immigration to the United States fell gradually because many people died and many of the people who were alive were afraid to leave their country. According to Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia “With the outbreak of World War I, the volume declined sharply, and the annual average from 1915 to 1918 was little more than 250,000.” Today, there is a war in Syria and the civilian Syrians do not want to die because of a war they do not even take part in. In fact this is the reason why many people from the country are trying to immigrate to Europe where it is safer. It is very difficult to leave their country in a legal way because they need to wait lots of time, in order to get their documents and immigrate legally. This is the reason why most of the people leave illegally. They are afraid that they might not live to see their documents, because of which they take their most precious belongings and move to Europe. There are people who try to get in trough the
