Due Date 07/11/17 Refugees in College Every day, all over the world, people make one of the most difficult decision of their life to leave their country of origin in search of a better place and safe life. People displaced from their country for several reasons. There are many who voluntarily decided to migrate to another country looking for a better place to live and work, a better place to attend school and re-connect with their close family members. However, the number of people that moved out of their country of origin involuntarily and become a refugee on another nation is quite a lot. In many cases, these refugees have no choice but to evacuate their homeland whenever there is a risk of war, sectarian violence, political prosecution or famine. For refugees, moving to a different area is not an easy process and the challenge and danger they are facing sometimes are even worse than the problems they encounter in their country of origin. Although it’s hard to be qualified for a federal grant, refugee students mainly those without legal status should check with states that offer scholarship assistances. One of the best solutions to alleviate their financial stress on refugees is for them to work part time jobs while attending schools. Most college classes are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Meaning refugee students will have the option to work on weekends and summer to get extra money and cover their expenses. More and more college students are now working more hours while taking full time
