Canada is a very accepting country, and we tend to care about other countries just as much as own. Canada is taking a huge risk by accepting over 25,000 Syrian Refugees to our well functioning country. Current prime minister, Justin Trudeau, needs to start taking into consideration the safety of Canadian citizens, as well as realizing the fact that we cannot afford to take care of refugees. Also, the concern as to why we are just caring for Syria when there are other countries in even worse shape? Syrian refugees should not be allowed access to Canada.

Firstly, the safety of Canadians should be the first priority. Trudeau’s plan to bring in 25,000 refugees in a three month time span will not allow for a proper refugee screening to be preformed (Toronto). A study conducted in 2013 determined that 1.3 million Canadians have experienced homelessness (Homeless). The government didn't provide them with a years compensation, free dental care, or any other services. A Syrian refugee will earn 2,500 in monthly assistance, which is more than the maximum amount a Canadian on old-age pension will earn to help with their care (Puzcik). Syrian refugees are also getting free schooling. Multiple post-secondary institutions are offering scholarships, and free access which isn't fair to Canadian citizens (Tamburri). 51% of Canadians will have to borrow money just to afford tuition and multiple will choose not to go because they just can't afford it. This is increasing the amount of people who will not have jobs in the future because they could not afford to learn the basic skills (Post-Secondary). The government should start to focus more on the problems happening in our country, then worry about what's happening in
