Twelve Angry Men dates back to 1957 when twelve jurors are sitting in front of a murder case. The murder case regards a son being accused of stabbing his father to death. As the jury heads into their room to choose their verdict, the vote begins eleven to one. Only one man in that entire room could find the defendant not guilty. That one man, Mr. Davis, decided to be the difference. Through Mr. Davis’ core values, he is able to support that the young boy is not guilty while also helping each man reveal who they really are. In the movie, the production crew creates the characters while also letting the viewer get to know each character. Davis allows everyone else to voice their opinion before he voices his; this also shows that he is very patient and understanding. Mr. Davis is very good at allowing people to explain their point of views. When all of them begin discussing whether the boy is guilty or not he is one of the last people to say something, he listens to everyone else’s reasoning before stating his. Relating to chapter five in The Achievement Habit, he is not afraid to say what he believes in. Mr. Davis does not wait for the right time to say something, he just says it. As the film progresses, he also is not determined to change everyone’s mind, he wants them to decide on their own. In conclusion, whenever he gives his reasoning as to why the young boy is not guilty, he admits that he doesn’t know whether the boy committed certain actions or not, he just cannot prosecute the boy when there is not enough evidence to do so. Henry Fonda asks the other men to go over the evidence multiple times; his purpose if this is to get all of the men committed, while also working to reach the same goal. These specific things relate to chapter seven in The Achievement Habit. Over the course of time not only does Henry Fonda get all the men to think the boy is not guilty, he assists the men in realizing who they
