One of the main characters of Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows is Mr. Toad, an obsessive toad. Mr. Toad is a young obsessive toad that lives on the riverbank. He first obsesses with cars and when he sees one speed by and will do anything to drive one. Later on Toad learns that friends are more important than any car and he should always listen to them. Besides being obsessive, Mr. Toad does something well, too. Toad then went to the train station and got a ride from the driver. The police were right on the train's tail and Toad had to jump out. Afterward he stole a horse from a lady on a barge and traveled to Rat's house. When he arrived he saw his friends: Rat, Mole, and Badger and got the news that the weasels had taken his mansion. Toad is angered by this news, he and his friends prepared for battle. Toad and his friends took a secret passage way that led to the cupboard his friends were ready to fight for their friend's house. They unloaded their guns and fought with their sticks. The weasels ran in fear and the house was finally theirs. After they battled, Toad knew that his friends are more important than any cars, and he should always listen to them. Finally, when things settled, Toad said that they should celebrate with a banquet with all their animal friends they knew . Toad suddenly realized that his relationship with his friends is what really mattered to him. In the past, Toad would get obsessed with various things and forget about his friends. Now Toad would look at his friends, smile, and think, "I'm going to listen to them." Toad has a new thing to obsess over, his friends. The theme of this story is obvious: you should be loyal to your friends no matter
