In the Shakespeare novel, Much Ado About Nothing, there are two main love stories that occur throughout the book. These love stories are between Claudio and Hero as well as Benedick and Beatrice. The two different couples vary in many different ways. They are also very close and interact together a lot within in story. Hero is the daughter of Leonato and cousin of Beatrice. Claudio is a young soldier and he falls in love with Hero in the novel. Beatrice is Leonato’s niece and Hero’s cousin. She is always making jokes. Benedick is a soldier under Don Pedro. He matches wits with Beatrice perfectly. These two couples are somewhat very close to each other. Since Hero and Beatrice are cousins, they always hangout together. They also have each others back a lot; they always take care of each other and make sure one another is doing well. Both of the couples in some way got tricked. Beatrice and Benedick both got tricked into falling in love with each other. Hero told Margaret to run to Beatrice and tell her that she and Ursula were in the garden talking about her. “Good Margaret, run thee to the parlor.
