1. Why did Marshall’s presentation lead Patricia to think he had influenza and not a cold? Why is it important to medically evaluate and diagnose a potential influenza infection? What test could be performed to diagnose influenza?
The parents need to get their child or children vaccinated to prevent the spread of the disease. Children can easily be affected because of germs and it can also spread
These belief systems are a great concern to parents who follow the compulsory vaccination schedule. Dr Karen Plant said, “The low rates mean a loss of ‘herd immunity’ which exposes those too young or ill, such as babies to be vaccinated, to disease and infection, which Mullumbimby has already been exposed to in the past” of the risks of low vaccination in communities. Mullumbimby mothers Toni Mcaffree both lost a child, to the Whooping Cough after an outbreak in the between 2009- 2013. Mother and Health Care worker Kalee Suthers, “They were to young to be vaccinated, so they relied on the rest of the community to be vaccinated to offer protection, but numbers wernt high enough” said when speaking of the deaths of the two babies.
The people of our city are terrified. trying to find a cure, or a way not to catch it. I hear No one can be in contact with others who are sick because it is so extremely contagious. We must find a cure soon. It is terrifying!

There has been many outbreaks of the plague from the first time it developed and the time it stopped causing mass epidemics, which can be attributed to huge advances in medicine. There were three major outbreaks of the plague throughout history. The first came in the 500’s called the Justinian Plague, The European Plague which is the most known of the three major epidemics. Parents who don’t vaccinate their children put them and others at risk because it allows normally preventable disease to continue to spread. Vaccinations have been around since 1796 and have since helped
Vaccines are like traffic lights; they ensure the safety of the public, be in heavily crowded areas, like schools, or densely trafficked roads. Traffic lights only work when all people follow the rules. If a car runs a red light, the car runs the risk of killing innocent pedestrians who are complying with the prescribed rules. Vaccines, if not utilized by most people, are ineffective. Even though some parents are concerned over the safety of vaccines, children who go to public schools should not be granted exemptions because vaccines are necessary to prevent outbreaks, children who do not receive vaccines are at risk of disease, and medically compromised children rely on vaccines to prevent disease.
