Organization Description: The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization that focuses on children’s arts and science education through museum’s exhibitions and theatrical performances. It is located at Portland, Maine, and mainly serves the children and their parents who live at this area and provide them an opportunity to spend time enjoy the arts and science with their family. The role they play in the community is that they help to bond the relationship within the families and let the children explore the world of arts and science through their educational and cultural events . It is a little bit rare to see the combination of them at the same venue. Even though they are both arts forms, there are still many differences between managing those two types of arts. I am very curious about how they work this out and manage them well, so based on this curiosity, I chose this organization and tried to use this profile to explain what kind of methods they use to be successful while dealing with two different arts forms.

However, those two organizations were founded earlier. For the Museum, it was founded in 1976, and the theatre was founded in 1923. They opened their first show on December. In 2009, they created their new logo and they presented more performances and events each single year . Because of their mutual goal, they worked together and became one organization, and on their website, they provided a timeline of what they have done after their merge. I think this is very appealing to the public because it feels like they are telling a story to the audience. It also helps the public to understand them better.
