The authors of this journal discuss the healthcare systems cutbacks and its impact on the population. Every few years the Ontario government and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) negotiate their contract called The Physician Services Agreement (PSA) The contract details how much physicians can bill for their services, as well as where health care funding should be invested in or where a cut back could be. In March of 2014, the contract had expired, which has led to negotiations for over the year. Over that year negotiations for the new PSA contract had many conflicts mostly due to the government’s goal try to end the province's deficit by 2017-2018.

Unit 2: EA2 Argumentative Essay Reflection What I feel I did well on this argumentative essay was my research. I had many sources that provided me with facts and statistics and they helped me to decide what side I was on. There were many sources that I did not use but that I had read through. What I struggled with was commentary.
In 1988, students at Gallaudet University shut down the campus in protest, with one clear goal in mind: Deaf President Now. The school board had just selected their newest president- the seventh hearing president for a school almost entirely made up of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students- and the people were pissed. Out of three candidates, the two Deaf men under consideration had been snubbed for yet another president who didn’t come from the culture the university represented, and even worse, didn’t use their language. Let that sink in for a moment.
So my issue with Peter Singer's argument is it's infallible to tell someone that they should not be spending money on luxuries, when they themselves are buying tickets to see a movie. I believe in "practice what you preach" and "actions speak louder than words". Which really puts me off about what Singer was trying to communicate. Now I understand his thoughts of trying to challenge people to not be selfish and think inwardly. But in that process, he himself fell prey to his own vices.
Gwen Stefani just got a pretty big gift and speculation is that it could be from her new boyfriend Blake Shelton. It is very obvious that Blake is a country boy at heart, even if he is in LA a lot lately for work on The Voice. Now US Magazine is reporting that someone gave Gwen the gift of a horse and of course everyone assumes it was from Blake. Gwen told her fans all about the animal by heading to her Instagram page. She said “My new bunny” and then tagged “#Bestpresentever hi Halo.”
There are many schools in the world for many people. There are schools in China, USA, Canada and in much more places. All those schools are for fully able people, people who can hear and see properly. Have you ever wondered how Deaf and blind people go to school, get around obstacles, and do things that everyday people do? Things started to change in 1857 when the first trace of Gallaudet University existed.
Working class music still exist but due to the cultural diversity it is difficult to pin point working class music to a specific genre of music. Due to an overall paradigm shift in American culture working class music is typically categorized as country or Rock and roll influenced music. I agree with the author of this article when he states that “Rap is presented as the extreme ends of a spectrum: abject poverty and glittering wealth.” The culture of rap has shifted from hard work in exchange for goods to illegal work or high income legal work. The modern rap culture has been injected with steroids in areas of wealth and flashy exterior social class symbols.
Contrary to the popular belief, bass can actually see colors. Biologists will argue that bass can see red and green colors better than humans can. In waters, colors change depending on the depth they are perceived. Some become clearer and others fade into nothingness. So the color of the lure used is critical, if at all you want to catch the big bass.
In this essay, I will be looking at the works of the composer Steve Reich, his inspiration from Pierre Schaeffer and his innovations in sound that have stretched the limitations of sound production, exhibition and understanding, but before we look at these innovations we first need to identify what sound is. Sound is created essentially by frequent changes in both the pressure and the density of air molecules within the Earths atmosphere, otherwise known as ‘Sound pressure and the fluctuations in pressure as sound waves’ . Bodies that are vibrating and traveling from one point to another create sound waves and these sound waves can carry vibrations through air, water or even through objects made from metal. In order for a complete sound to be created, there must be a sound source and a sound receiver for example, when we speak, our vocal chords act as the sound source and our ears act as the sound receiver. Almost any vibrating object can create musical sounds such as the strings on a guitar, the head of a drum or the reeds on an oboe.
Identity versus role confusion is one stage of development, which happens during puberty and teens. It is one of the most crucial stages that will shape an individual’s life while getting into adulthood. My major is Accountancy and my grades are not so good and changing my major would be a completely different turn at this point now. So, therefore I have no idea where I am going ahead. I drive a yellow cab as a part time job and go school on the side.
With the year-round pressure pertaining to college applications on high school seniors follows the impending decision of choosing an appropriate college major. Generally, the decision-making process involves prioritizing one field of interest over another, however, due to globalization and constant innovation in technology determining a college major has increasingly become the modern day equivalent of the metaphorical line between life and death. Even so, the obvious choice would be the prestigious STEM fields over liberal arts due to the instant job opportunities which are seemingly ludicrous to a recent graduate. Nevertheless, liberal arts education should be encouraged to be pursued at higher education institutions in USA because it helps
As in Harry Potter, where the wand chooses the wizard, the trumpet chose me—although, at the time, I thought I was choosing the trumpet. Four wind musicians stood before me in my elementary school’s auditorium. Each one played an excerpt showcasing the instrument’s ability, trying to entice us all to play that instrument. I was able to resist the lures of three, but the fourth instrument, the trumpet, captured my eye and resonated with my soul. Little did I know, that sound would come to mean so much more.
“Halo” by Beyonce Knowles I choose to analyze the song “Halo” by Beyonce Knowles. I really like this song because it has a very catchy chorus and Beyonce does an amazing job singing it. Out of all the songs I listen to this song stands out because it has a pretty unique instrumental and lyrics. Another reason why I picked this song was because I admire Beyonce because is a very strong and independent person.
Introduction Roger’s and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music is arguably one of the most well known films that many can admit to watching at least once in their lifetime. People all around the world have found this musical inspiring, as it documents growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. This incredibly well written film is based on the story of the Von Trapp family who escaped Austria when the Nazis invaded it during the war. Part of what made this movie so interesting on so many different accounts was the music that accompanied the vivid and exciting scenes. Without music, many could agree that our world would be a sad, quiet, dull and depressing place.
