My Career Clusters

Introduction:

For my career research paper I hope to accomplish many goals of mine. It is important because it will help me in the near future for my dream job. I now know more about my job, and how much it pays. I hope that with this program I will have a better understanding of my future goals, dreams, hopes, and many more decisions that I will have for planning or creating my future.

Survey Results:

The first survey I took was the Career Clusters Survey. This survey is very important because it will tell me based on my interests, and my personality what career best fits me. The Career Clusters Survey said I scored high in multiple clusters, but the cluster I am most interested in is Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security. I

This survey is important because it tells me more about my basic skills and what I can do based on my survey results. I took the basic skills survey to have a better understanding of where my skills are as of now. The basic skills survey said that I scored high in multiple skills and I scored medium in one skill, along with really high medium ones. My strongest skill was Reading Comprehension, and my lowest was the Monitoring skill. Honestly I feel like the monitoring skill was accurate, but reading comprehension not so much. The reason I feel this way is because I am not that good at reading from my point of view.

Career Choice:

The Career that best matches me from my Career Cluster Survey is Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security. This Career Cluster includes Law enforcement, Paramedics, and Security Guards. Law Enforcement Officers are people that serve and protect our communities. They make sure the laws are carried out. They respond to calls, enforce laws, make arrests, issue citations, and occasionally testify in court cases.

Their annual salaries are around $61,000 but depending on their hours, and how many cases they have worked. This Career is important because it is what I want to be when I grow up and it has always been my dream job. I don't necessarily want to go straight to being a special agent or detective, I know that i will have to work my way up the field and i am completely fine by

I really have been a huge fan of Criminal Justice or Special agents since I was little. They have always been an inspiration to me and what I want to do. My cousin, grandpa, and great grandpa’s have all been in the marines, and they have all inspired me to go into some type of force so I chose Police or Special Agent as my choice. I have a cousin that is currently in Virginia, and right before he left I told him that he was my true inspiration, and my hero because he is going to do what he loves and fight for his country, his family, and he said he was proud to wear my grandpa's last name.
