Tim Collins, a British Army Officer, is best known for his role in the Iraq War in 2003. Additionally, he is known for his eve-of-battle speech. Before the battle, he spoke out to the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Regiment in Iraq in 2003. John F. Kennedy was a United States president during an economic recession in the early 1960s. During this crisis, steel companies significantly increased steel prices, prompting Kennedy to publicize his response in a news conference on April 11th, 1962. In his speech, President Kennedy uses repetition and logos to declare to Americans that he is outraged by and taking action against these steel companies. Kennedy uses repetition to emphasize why people should be upset by the steel price increase. Repetition is the use of a word or phrase multiple times for dramatic effect, applied first in lines 6-9 through the phrase “when we are,” followed by the tense international and economic circumstances of the time.
Home Sweet Home In 2006, the organization known as “ASPCA” first surfaced due to an emotional rollercoaster of a commercial they had produced. ASPCA is a charitable organization that donates the proceeds collected to rescue animals from cruelty events such as dog-fighting, puppy mills, hoarding, and neglect as well as many other situations. The animals are then provided with food, shelter, and any other care they may be in need of. Throughout the ad, the producers provide the viewers with multiple uses of ethos, pathos and logo to create a visual representation of what those watching the ad can do to benefit the animals shown.
We are a nation of repetition. A nation where one can easily study our history to view a glimpse of our future. But we choose to ignore the facts, which are directly in front of us and repeat our mistakes with the result being terrible consequences. But we refuse to acknowledge the truth that continually stares our nation in the face. As a result, the author is comparing the reason for obesity in nineteenth century and the twenty-first century; he does this in order to illuminate the link between the two.
One of major reasons the "I Have a Dream" address by Martin Luther King Jr. leaves such an enduring imprint on everyone's ears is the fact that it contains an excellent balance of ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos you could call a credibility so to speak, they demonstrate that they are trustworthy. Mr. king draws on three well known people of power for this particular speech. Abraham Lincoln, US Declaration of Independence, as well as the Bible. He begins by implying Abraham Lincoln and his statue, before which he forwarded the address.

People who use their parents are the worst kind of people. That’s by far one of my biggest pet peeves. For one, your parents birthed you and gave you everything they had. They didn’t have to keep you, but they did. Some kids can be so ungrateful for the things their parents do for them.
Many times your parents have given you money to go to a ball game or food for a game you really want. Although after all that instead of helping around the house to repay that kids are asking to get paid for them. Helping around the house is something everyone should have to do and for free. Your mom and dad don 't

The problem was that my mom’s point of view was different then the whole story I was trying to convey to her. My mom was portraying pathos, by trying to defend her trainer and not listen to the story as a whole. However, I was showing an ethos affect towards my boyfriend with relaying the message that the trainer needed to respect his characteristic in order to keep him as a client. My mom would not reason with anything that I said to her, ignoring the logos affect.
We went to the store and bought snacks. We went and sat in front of my neighborhood on the steps, and talked for a long time. And by the time we made it back to my house, my dad was standing outside waiting for me and he was, FURIOUS! “Shayla I told you not leave this house in them too little shorts, but you did anyways”!
But nothing ever convinced them, they set me down and basically told me that everything will be just fine, to make me feel better about things they promised they would buy me a new SpongeBob computer game, I was still mortified but that made things a little better.
Once, me and a group of friends went shopping, I brought a nice pair of jeans and planned to wear it the very next day… The next morning, I barely reached the door and mother yelled. “What are those? Are you trying to be like Charlie Chaplin in public? So inappropriate!
