There are times in life where we all have to make certain decisions in our lives. For me, I was one of those fortunate people who was given a chance to make a decision by her parents regarding my further education after high school and build a career. It’s usually rare among the Bangladeshi culture to let their children decide about getting their degree from abroad. I consider myself lucky in that case, because I could step in the United States of America today as I’ve dreamt of, only because my parents agreed with my decision and willingly supported me with everything I need for building my career in the future. It was difficult to leave my family and friends behind, but I believe it was for the greater good in my life. There are various reasons for which I chose to come to USA for my undergraduate degree. First of all, the standard of education in this country is much higher compared to other countries in the world. It is probably one of the top university destination choice for studying abroad and hosts many international students than any other country. There are different Global pathways, routes to bachelor’s degree for high school as well as undergraduate, transfer applicants, and graduate school options leading to master’s degree, graduate degrees and prestigious MBAs. Since I am an undergrad student studying in the USA, I feel like the core courses that are mandatory in the first two years for example; mathematics, literature, history, language and communication makes ones knowledge more broad and disciplined which are essential in order to compete
