Working with kids is what I enjoy the most. I work in a dental office as a dental assistant, and my job is to help all the patients get educated. My job is to explain to every patient that oral hygiene is very important. This implies to all ages, an oral hygiene routine takes two minutes to brush and floss your teeth at home. Since I really enjoy educating all patients, I would like to do more. To do more at my job it will be to become a dental hygienist. A dental hygienist is the professionals who clean your teeth when you go for your routine dental visit. Becoming a dental hygienist requires more training and school than it does to become a dental assistant. My goal in my life is to have a degree on what I enjoy the most. This degree will help me get a better job salary that can also benefit my family. Now, if I receive a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene my life will change. This is because I will have a better living. My better living can start with a better salary and better retirement savings for the future. It can be savings for early retirement and life insurance. This is because in my family no one has a degree except my father. My father was a teacher, and always encourages me and my brothers to get a career. For my brothers, having a career is very hard, and they believe that school is very difficult to concentrate. Now I am sure that my father will be very proud of me one day after getting my degree. Another example is that my niece Karen sees me as a role model. My niece believes that I am a strong and smart person because she admires everything I do or say to her.
