The first school I attended my freshman year was at Glen High school. Upon my first arrival, I met my counselor at the school who would determine the courses I will take. I was rather nervous yet optimistic when discussing my future with her, as she spoke with me she took a look at my transcript from Mahone Middle school. To my surprise, she recommended me to take honor roll for Biology, Math 2, World History, and English I.
As a junior I moved from Ryan HIgh School to Braswell High School due to my zoning with the new school. Braswell High School was a brand new high school. I attended the first year it was open in which the highest grade level they offered was juniors. Most of the students moved from their old high schools to Braswell were devastated due to the strong school spirit at their previous schools. The administration at Braswell attempted to inspire new school spirit in all the students especially the junior class.

My last month in Lackey High School was in February, before I left Cousin Jerry and the PPW from my high school told me about Job Corps. I couldn’t stay at Lackey because of the drama going on and my cousin knew Job Corps could provide me with a high school diploma and provide direction for my life. At Lackey High School I was constantly in trouble arguing, being defiant about the rules, and not attending class.
Transcripts When I first started high school, my grades were not that good. I struggled in most of my classes in 9th grade until I realized that I can do so much better. In 9th grade I wanted to play football but because of my grades I could not participate in it. Toward the end of 9th grade I got my grades together and since then I’ve gotten really good grades.
I was lost. Friends were not at my disposal. Time was in abundance. Thoughts was all i had. Freshman through Christmas break of my sophomore year I attended Berks Catholic High School, but before that I graduated from a feeder school named Scared Heart School.
During the late 18th century, much rebellion and political turmoil sparked the American Revolution. The American Revolution, which lasted from 1765 to 1783, pushed colonists to choose between independence and remaining apart of the British Empire. I believe that the Patriots were unjust in setting off the American Revolution because of their unreasonable motives and responses to Parliamentary action. The Patriots acted violently on many occasions and refused to remain loyal to the king even when they received many benefits as subjects of the British crown.
IDA Release Essay The reason I feel this is essential is in hope for me to be enrolled into the Travis Unified School District, and eventually attend school at Vanden High. I feel that it would be of great appreciation that I receive endorsement in my process of successfully transferring to Vanden because it would be completely beneficial for myself, my happiness, my education, and my future. My education is what’s most important however, and so is the path to my future, and Vanden does provide me with many options that can give me an advantage to help achieve my physical and self-related goals. Fairfield High would be my next option after my current school the Public Safety Academy but, it is not the right place for me to be.
Although my grades were not always consistent, I never earned less than a B for a final grade in my English courses. Often my instructors privately told me that my papers were the best in the class and shared my work with others. My writing secured me a free trip to London and Paris with my business club as well as my acceptance into multiple colleges. I am certain my extracurricular activities, including cheerleading, volleyball, community service projects, fundraisers and employment also played a vital role in these accomplishments. Of all the schools to which I applied, only VSU waitlisted me probably because of my phobia about standardized examinations, which caused me not to perform as well as I should have on the SAT.
The Renaissance was an economic “rebirth” following the Middle Ages. The renaissance is characterized by an interest in “the classics” (Greece & Rome), an emphasis on individual achievement, and a spirit of adventure. It materialized around the 14th century in Florence, Italy, and lasted until the 17th century. Italy's history & geography supported Renaissance thought. The restoration of classical art, literature, and music was increasingly emphasized during this time.
Many people think that most American schools are satisfactory. That is far from what is actually happening. The harsh reality is that schools that are unsatisfactory do exist. In Jonathan Kozol’s “Fremont High School”, he points out the flaws of a high school located somewhere in Los Angeles. This helps shine light on differences in the quality of education in various areas of the country.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
According to Zooey Deschanel, nothing can be as hard as middle school. I was a big scaredy cat when I started middle school in 5th grade. My guts were flipping and flopping on that first day. Even though I didn’t know any teachers or friends, I made new friends and met new teachers. I had Mrs. Wherley as a homeroom teacher, she was nice as pie to me.
My high school is highly competitive and I’m grateful that I was surrounded by such wonderful peers and teachers. Completing high school, I received 12th place out of almost 450 students, with a weighted GPA of 4.244. Despite my hard course load,
High school grows you into the person you are. I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences and some that I’ll take with me the rest of my life. My high school experience has influenced my development as a person inside and outside of the class by making me more independent, choosing friends wisely and teachers motivating me to attend college and accomplish goals I have set for myself. I have gained my independence slowly throughout high school. The importance of being independent is being secure with who you are and what you believe in.
