Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. are good examples of what would happen if one law was created to make a thriving utopia, but it turns it into a frightful dystopia. Both stories have one major law that attempts to create a utopia, but turns it into a dystopia. In Fahrenheit 451, the protagonist, Montag, and his friend, Clarisse, talk about how books are illegal in this society. It says “‘Do you ever read any of the books you burn?’ He laughed.
Frank Trippett, in his passage “A Red Light For Scofflaws”, is arguing that the people are not following the minor laws because they think it is not important, he support his argument by first explaining how the people are breaking laws and not even thought that it was wrong, he continues by showing how the careless of the people could threaten the people’s lives. The author wrote in critical tone for the Americans who are breaking the minor laws. The author’s argument is right, people should take the minor laws more seriously because people could lose their lives and make other people life in dangerous too. The people do not think that these laws are important, and they are not that big deal because it will not make any different and will not effect anyone, for example, if the government decide to change the speeding in certain area and make it lower, some people will think that this is wrong because they got used to a certain system and they do not want to change it.
Rules are essential, for they have saved and will save countries from plunging into utter chaos. They save societies from being self-destructive, due to the citizens’ self-serving instincts. The Laws of Virginia, the Mayflower Compact, the Maryland Toleration Act, the Connecticut’s Blue Laws, and the Second Treatise on Civil Government, preserved the thirteen colonies and led to the creation of an ideal democracy, making the United States a role model for government. Organization was essential in order for the colonies to reach stability. In Virginia, after the Starving Time, the Laws of Virginia saved Virginia from perishing.
This bill would add more people to the criminal background check database, which would stop poeple on the list from buying a gun. It would also make it so every gun purchase would require a background check. This would close the gun show loophole, where you can buy a gun at a gun show without a background check, but need a background check to buy a gun at a store. Proponents want this to pass to keep criminals from getting guns more easily. It is too easy for a criminal to buy a gun at a gun show, at some criminals are not on the list of those with criminal backgrounds that should keep them from buying a gun at store.
Without the cruelty of the world, there would be no need for aid, however, it may not be the case. Although society has good samaritans, many people will not be insured safety unless there are more individuals with good morals to provide assistance. As the result of needing aid, there are human beings in the public to reveal they are ethically responsible, even if it is through obligations. In which, tells what the meaning of ethical responsibility is; it is to have the duty to follow a morally correct path and doing what is right for people or oneself. In the article, “Can the Law Make Us Be Decent?”
Laws are the key to having a well-mannered society. They are created with the intention of bringing good to the civilization. However, even actions with good intentions can end with devastating results. This is what occurs in Kurt Vonnegut Jr.’s “Harrison Bergeron”. “Harrison Bergeron” is about a dystopian- like future that has had citizens stripped of their individuality due to an Amendment.
When I first think of having to write of paper on a bill becoming a law, I think back to that one music video I had to watch most of my middle and high school years called “I’m Just a Bill” by Schoolhouse Rock, after reading the Bill into a Law pdf file showing all the step a bill must go through to become a law I realized how the song relates better. One part was in the video is in very beginning when the little boy says “whew, you sure do have to climb a lot of steps to get to this capital building in Washington.” This was so relatable to what I had read because there were I want to say more than 10 times the word “advance” and “die” were used when talking about whether a bill would pass or not. Bills becoming a law are a very long and drawn
Truly, it is difficult to say that rules are meant to be broke, but in order to live a safer and prosperous life, citizens should be aware to following these laws made by the state of Texas, because it will ease the headache of going through the trouble of punishment. These laws just have to be implemented a little more and the people in the communities should be a little more conscious in the things that they do in their daily routines. In the end, if unavoidable situations are lessened, other topics can be focused on that need more attention than something that can prevented from the get

What is missing in these laws? Has the public become so intolerant of others and then demand congress to make more and more laws to deal with undesirable people? How did U.S. Corporations and the Fed’s get so powerful? Why are we, the voting citizens, letting the U.S. Congress the individual states and city councils pass these unwanted laws? One thought: citizens are being fed misinformation.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a prominent man, who aided the fight for civil rights. While dissecting and analyzing his letter, his moral theory from this letter describes him to be a virtue ethicist.
Although the concern of Nestor 10 is that the modified First Law will allow the robot to indirectly harm humans, nevertheless the real issue at hand is that this modification will allow the robot to disable the rest of the laws which will have major consequences. With the other laws disabled, the robot would be independent of humans, the robot would be able to influence other robots to think alike, and the human race would be at risk. The story of the Little Lost Robot is centered around the concern that the modification of the First Law will allow Nestor 10 to indirectly harm humans. “If a modified robot were to drop a heavy weight upon a human being, he would not be breaking the First Law, if he did so with the knowledge that his strength
If we don't have to wear a helmet when we ride our motorcycles then why do we have to wear a seatbelt in an enclosed vehicle. Most people say seat belts save lives but seat belts can also end lives or severely injure you. For instance if your in your car and you get into an accident and you have your seatbelt on. The seat belt locks but you keep moving you break ribs and your neck they take you to the hospital and tell you you are paralyzed from the neck down. Now let's say you didn't have your seatbelt on and you are stopped by your your air bag and just have bruised ribs and a minor concussion.
Law personal statement main As a child, looking up to law-enforcers such as police officer’s has made me believe that Law is the backbone of our society. Without it, everyday life would not be tolerable. My passion for law developed when I stepped into the Supreme Court and watched a court case in the Old Bailey.
Law is present in our daily life and in everything we do. We cannot think a second without law. Whatever we can see around us everything is connected with the law. Sometimes we can see it and sometimes we cannot see but feel it. Law is not just a thing to obey for yourself but making a peaceful society.
