When determining who I wanted to interview it wasn’t a very hard choice for me, almost every one of the men on my mom side of the family either owns their own company or work for a very reputable one. I called my uncle Steve whom I would consider the one who got me into the industry, he owns a company named Cowan’s Custom Carpentry. When interviewing him I had asked him all the questions I listed above, starting with how he got into the industry. His dad my grandfather was a home builder, that is how they made a living all the family had a part in business back in the day. When asking how he got to where he was today I learned that he had a eventually had a fall out with his older brother who also owns a home building company and went off on his own. Something I learned that his business grown to what it is today because of the customers he has worked in the past and passing his name onto others, all done with zero advertisement. His clients love having him on the job whenever something is going on, his honesty and work ethic has gotten him very far. …show more content…
Following that I asked him how you get some of the project since the industry is booming right now, he told me that its all about keeping consistency with all jobs, don’t go back on something you said, and learn when to say
