My Passion For Mechanical Engineering

My passion for Engineering germinated from a string of innocuous and seemingly unrelated events in my growing years – watching the chafing of rice in my uncle 's rice mill, listening to the grinding sounds of various machinery parts in a neighbouring workshop, helping change a punctured wheel in my father’s car – all experiences that held me spell bound at that time. I intuitively recognized my fascination with machines and my comfort with the exact sciences at school, particularly Physics. A fortuitous visit to the Maruthi Suzuki Diesel Engine Plant at Gurgoan in my Higher Secondary years was a watershed moment. Witnessing the functional prototypes of the actual Diesel Engines and their Assembly Line, against the backdrop of a legendary Research and Development Center and discoursing with the engineers involved in its development, was truly inspirational. This experience cemented my resolve to pursue a career with Mechanical Engineering as its foundation. Experiences from project work and internships during my undergraduate program further crystallized my interests and career aspiration. I hope to eventually start up my own manufacturing firm, where I can produce value-generating products which would fulfil my passion of getting my firm listed in the stock market. Industries forming the backbone of India and it is my fervent wish that I powerfully compete and generate value through improved productivity and optimization of resources and time.
