Mystic Waters The painting entitled Storyteller by Andrian Bekiarov is a silent imaginary seascape, depicting a beautiful long hair woman in a velvety black dress, blowing a misty swirl of smoke from an incense holder on the table. She allows the smoke to move across the palm of her thin pale hand, flowing upward into the dark eerie night, while it creates an ancient ship sailing in the rough sea, on a voyage to the unknown. It’s brilliant flow of poetry and figurative fantasy with magic and mystery. The artist captivates the mind and senses with his impressionistic style, while telling a story of mystery and love. The witches lived in a moldy forest surrounded by foggy smoke and hundreds of hissing black cats. They brewed a pungent potion used to steal children souls. During the daylight hours, the witches would change their appearance to trick the kids into following them into the forest for sweets. As the children ate the candy they became intoxicated, so by nightfall they was asleep, while they slept the witches gathered ingredients to make the potion, adding green poisonous frogs, hairy eagle feet, pickled pig ears, musky tree barks, minty herbs, and parts of the children hair and nails. While the potion brewed, the witches sing and danced around them, as they lay helpless on the ground. After the potion was, ready it was given to the children and they gradually turned into black cats.
