Dee Ann Sifuentes (picture unavailable) of Sidney Sugars has been an employee since September of 1977. When Sifuentes first started at the factory, she began on the beet end of things. Her duties included overseeing the beets come in as well as extracting the juice. “When I first started working for Sidney Sugars 38 years ago, there were only 7-8 women that worked here. Now there are 61 female employees at the factory out of the 251 that are employed here,” said Dee Ann when asked about changes in the factory over the past 30 years.
PRELIMINARY STATEMENT Rosemary Henderson was arraigned in Yolo County Superior Court on May 30, 2016, for allegedly violation Health & Safety Code § 11379, subd. (a). Henderson pleaded not guilty and pursuant to Penal Code § 1538.5, moved to suppress the fruits of the search –the two baggies and the statements she made- arguing that the search of the trunk exceed the scope of any consent she had given. The trial court denied the motion. Henderson then withdrew her not guilty plea and pled guilty to the sale of a controlled substance.
Anna Lehmann of Forest City, is a member of the Forrest City Everreadies 4-H club. The garment she chose to create is a purple knit skirt. Anna loves the color purple as it is a sign of royalty and therefore helps to create a classy semi-formal outfit. Other formal design elements of the skirt include a side slit and diagonal seam running from her hip to lower thigh on the front and back of the skirt. Anna learned to enjoy sewing knit fabric and the many challenges that knit fabric presents.
Introduction Cathy Bevin was born as the secant oldest of four children on April 8 1954, to a farmer and his wife. She married in her eerily twenties to Daniel Bevin. They four children of her own Edith (Edie), Edwin (Eddy), Dawnita, and Keith (Kenny). Cathy had a close relationship with her older brother and help him raise his five children as well as her own four. Cathy has lived through the deaths of her parents, husband, older brother, grandson, two of her nephews and a baby nieces.

In 2012, Allison Huguet and her friend Keely Williams went to a party at their childhood friend’s house, a linebacker for the University of Montana Grizzlies, Beau Donaldson. After a night of drinking and partying, Allison spent the night on Beau’s couch where she awoke to Beau raping her. Terrified and violated, she didn’t tell anyone except Keely who admitted she also had been a victim of acquaintance rape when she was too drunk to go home. Growing up as a young black African-American girl in the rural south, Atlanta Georgia to be exact was not just southern peaches and cream, but more everyday trials and tribulations that built character. Marie Linnette Scott, born on 09/21/1930 at a healthy seven pounds, 2 ounces to the late Fannie Brown and Fredrick Brown. She was the second daughter of the family and the last child. Marie was the baby in the family and brought so much joy to her family. Having a father as a farmer and a mother as a housewife taught Marie to work hard and always keep up on household duties.

Throughout life, many are faced with obstacles. These obstacles can either set them further in society and help them reach their aspirations, or those challenges can cause one to refrain from reaching their full potential. Which in retrospect makes them settle for less than what they can fully achieve. Fayol developed the ’14 Principles of Management’ including; Initiative, giving employees the freedom and space to be creative and unique. Espri de Corps; where a business will promote uniqueness and unity within a workforce and Scalar Chain; where employees will always be made aware of their place and role within the business, ( Manktelow 2015). Whereas Taylor called his theory ‘Scientific Management’ and overly stressed the need for efficiency and restricted himself to the activity of production within a firm. It could even be said that Taylor had a micro-approach due to his restrictions within a factory and Fayol had a macro approach as his principles are adaptable to all fields of management. However, Taylor did conduct several experiments earlier on in his studies testing the task sytem within a firm focusing on all aspects of production such as the time needed, materials, labour and what was the quickest, most-effective way of producing the good in question, ( Taylor 1911)
