Animal started with the ideology that all animals were created equal. This was a mistake because you know that you won’t always be equal in society and that turned out to happen in animal farm. The pigs felt they were superior to the other animals so tried to take charge and become the more powerful group at animal farm. The story takes a turn for worse when the other animals just ignore that Napoleon is taking over the farm. Napoleon takes the pups to raise under what he wants them to do and they listen to him and his commands. When this happened all the animals wouldn’t stand up against him because he put fear into them. Animal farm became a totalitarian government because the other animals let it happen. The repetition silenced the opposition. Also snowball saying that everything was alright and that when the seven laws were reworded by the pigs he would assure the rest of the farm that it had said that the whole time. Also when Boxer was taken to the glue factory and everyone was upset he told them that it was a truck from the hospital. All of the animals just assumed what he was saying was true and didn’t challenged the ideas and allowed them to take over. They were all taking part in the lie. The animals allowed the pigs to take over like when the laws were changed and they thought they had just read it wrong and the laws being redone were to benefit the pigs only. Toward the end of the books the laws had changed so much that the pigs had pretty much turned out like Mr. Jones and became the humans they overthrew in the first place and swore to never be like. This was a plan the pigs had had since the beginning. They knew they were going to be able to outsmart the other animals and assume the roles as leaders of the farm without any questioning and it all started when they got the book where they learned to read and write. The made the laws and no one could read them at the beginning so they were able to manipulate them later for their own benefit. It wasn’t their original goal to turn out just like the humans before them but after all the changes made it pretty much happened
