There are many tactics politicians use to grasp a voter’s attention, one of them being scare tactics. Scare tactics use fear to influence the public’s reactions. In Animal Farm the leader Napoleon uses scare tactics to get the animals to follow him and his orders. After kicking out the farm’s previous leader he creates all sorts of lies to have the animals follow. “Snowball was in league with Jones from the very start! He was Jones's secret agent all the time. It has been proved by the documents which he left behind him and which we have only just discovered” (Wilde 79).
