Dehumanizing is the taking away of human qualities. All of the Jews were dehumanized during the Holocaust. The Nazis dehumanized the Jews by loading them into cattle cars, tattooing them, and stripped them all naked. Eliezer and all of his fellow Jews were loaded into cattle cars like animals (98). They were loaded into car by the hundred.
The Holocaust. A short, unimaginable period, of just over twelve years, where almost 6 million Jews were murdered by the German nazis. Overall, 17 million victims were killed and thousands were forced to work in inhumane conditions and live in concentration camps. Elie Wiesel, a victim of the Holocaust, having been deported at the age of 12, is one of the few survivors who lived to tell their story. He has written many books and given many speeches about his experience, but they all convey a similar message, that we as a population, cannot remain silent but to stand up for the indifferences and the horrendous events of this world.
The exclusively human quality of narcissism programs us to believe that we are superior above all creatures, however, it is completely unwarranted as our transcendence exists only in our brain. We are no different than the savage beasts that lurk in the wild. Driven by raw instinct, our role in nature is the same as any other animal’s: fighting for the survival of our species. Even if it means murder.
Based on Night, during the Holocaust, the Nazis gradually reduced the Jews to little more than “things” which were a nuisance to them. To deprive one of human qualities, personality, and/or spirit is to dehumanize one. In which, there were way more than a handful of examples to support this statement. Examples where men were deprived of food (human qualities), forced to go against their religion (personality), and wretchedly beat (spirit). Three of the basic human needs include food, water, and shelter.
Conformity and group mentality are major aspects of social influence that have governed some of the most notorious events and experiments in history. The Holocaust is a shocking example of group mentality, or groupthink, which states that all members of the group must support the group’s decisions strongly, and all evidence leading to the contrary must be ignored. Social norms are an example of conformity on a smaller scale, such as tipping your waiter or waitress, saying please and thank you, and getting a job and becoming a productive member of society. Our society hinges on an individual’s inherent need to belong and focuses on manipulating that need in order to create compliant members of society by using the ‘majority rules’ concept. This
The Holocaust was one of the most horrible things that have happened in this world. There are friendly and evil people in this world and knowing if they are generous can be really hard. People are good at heart because, a lot of people are making sacrifices, trying to stick together, and therefore kids like Anne still think people are kind at heart. History has gone through some rough patches, but with history comes change. If you haven 't already heard, the Holocaust was basically a Jewish sacrificial offering that is burned completely on an altar.

Anti-Semitism is hostility and prejudice against Jewish people. Anti-Semitism started to grow more and more during the end of World war one, and the start of World War two. Anti-Semitism has been a thing long before the Holocaust. The hatred the people of Europe had for the Jews started when they considered them a race instead of a religion. Europeans believed that the Jews thought they were better than everyone and that they would take all the jobs.

Like many genocides the Holocaust was one of the worst recorded in history. The Holocaust happened during World War II when Hitler became the leader of Germany in 1933. The War was mostly present in Europe, East Asia or the Pacific Islands but the Holocaust, which was a genocide of Jews, took place in Europe. Nazi’s and SS officers would storm the houses of Jews and move them into ghettos eventually ending up in a concentration camp. Some would die on their way there but mostly all the deaths occured in the camps.
These people were literally stripped of everything that they had ever known, loved, or had. This was no joke, no game or no fictional story, but more the truth of what it was really like during the Holocaust and inside a Jewish concentration camp. This was a time where innocent Jewish people were deprived from everything just because of their religion. Families were broken apart and were never brought back together, virtuous men, women, and children were killed. These people were tagged as numbered instead of called by their names, sent to live in places and leave all their belongings behind to be burned by the Nazis.
The Holocaust is a shining example of Anti-Semitism at its best and it was no secret that the Nazis tried to wipe out the Jews from Europe but the question is why did the Nazis persecute the Jews and how did they try to do it. This essay will show how the momentum, from a negative idea about a group of people to a genocide resulting in the murder of 6 million Jews, is carried from the beginning of the 19th Century, with pseudo-scientific racial theories, throught the 20th century in the forms of applied social darwinism and eugenics(the display of the T4 programme), Nazi ideas regarding the Jews and how discrimination increased in the form of the Nuremberg Laws , Kristallnacht, and last but not least, The Final Solution. Spanning throughout the 19th century, racial theories were seen. Pseudo-Scientific theories such as Craniometry,where the size of one’s skull determines one’s characteristics or could justifies one’s race( this theory was used first by Peter Camper and then Samuel Morton), Karl Vogt’s theory of the Negro race being related to apes and of how Caucasian race is a separate species to the Negro race, Arthur de Gobineau’s theory of how miscegenation(mixing or interbreeding of different races) would lead to the fall of civilisation.
They are viewed as socially callous or cruel facets of the human personality. Narcissism is characterized as, “a sense of self-importance, exhibitionism, entitlement, and interpersonal exploitation.” (Lee, et al. 169-170). Additionally it has been observed that Narcissism can be “the self image of individuals who exaggerate their achievements, disregard the feelings of others, expect to have their desires met, often behave in ways that demand attention, use others for their own gain, believe themselves to be unique, and are highly interested in self-enhancement.”
Gods like Hera and youths for example, Narcissus and others can be narcissistic. For example Hera thinks she is the most and only beautiful goddess out of all the other goddess. She was being narcissistic because she didn 't think about any other goddess except her. A youth that is narcissistic is Narcissus. He was too narcissistic because he thought he was too good for any women.
