I thought it was going to be a normal day, play softball, hang and go out to eat with my closest friends. This would have been easier if I wasn’t grounded from my phone for doing something dumb I did weeks before. Luckily my mom still let me go out to eat with them and I figured she would give me my phone back, but she did not do that. But I was still happy that she let me go with them. But after that great night I didn’t expect anything bad to happen to me or my best friend. I woke up and I knew it was going to be a great day because I had a home softball game. So I had all the time in the world to get ready because my game isn’t until later in the day but I like to get ready early because I just get so excited to play. When I thought that is was around 4 o clock. Hours go by and still no sign of her. But then I hear someone coming from the right of me, on the right there are hundreds of tall trees that I can’t see through, and here comes my mom driving and she didn’t see me, I honk my horn for a long time but she didn’t hear it. I thought maybe she heard it and she was going to turning around, well she didn’t and I was still stranded there. To me it was kind of funny but I knew she wouldn’t think it would be funny. Soon 8 came around and here she comes again so I got out of the vehicle and waved her down when she finally sees me and pulls in the driveway. She gets out and starts crying and giving me hugs and kisses and I say “Mom, I’m fine” and she says still crying “I was looking for you everywhere, I called everyone you were with last night and they didn’t know where you were and I didn’t know what to do. I called Natalie and I asked her if she knew where you were and she didn’t know so I had her mom come out looking for you too.” And I was like “Mom, I`ve been here the whole time, you drove past me two times” she was shocked that I said that. Soon my dad comes and they call the towing company to get the van. Then my mom drove me to softball practice. When Natalie got there I run up to her and give her a big hug and she starts crying because she was so worried about me. Everybody was asking about what happened and they were laughing because it was funny, which it was. After practice I ask my mom if I can go to the fair with Natalie to watch my friends show.
