In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.
Narrative: Kankakee, Illinois has so much potential for change. Kankakee is a 100% urban city in Illinois and is located about 45 minutes from the south side of Chicago. Kankakee has been known to some as a very southern suburb, but it is not. Kankakee is a part of a separate tri-city area and is not included in the southern suburbs of Chicago. I will always remember hearing a recording, years ago, of Jay Leno saying that Kankakee is one of the worst places to live.
Texas Economy Through Time Texas economy throughout the ages has become quite famous for its ever changing status. When Texas was just a young state it did not have the economy that the other states at the time possessed but it did have potential which was picked up on starting out with the livestock and cattle industry. Texas went through a rapid expansion and quickly caught up with its statehood brethren. As time carried on so did the cattle industry of Texas. Soon farming and production of cotton sparked another economic shift for Texas, which caused demand to spike as other states could not keep up with the ability Texas had to produce its cotton.
As a kid growing up there are encounters that change your perspectives on life and what you need to fulfill in life. Luckily growing up for me was never what some would state a battle. I experienced childhood in a white collar class group of five in the residential community of Mercedes, Tx. As a kid living around there of texas known as the Rio Grande Valley you start to see the battles other individuals look in the group and You end up noticeably appreciative for the things you do have.
O-Oklahoma Oklahoma is the place I was born yet the only time I was ever there was maybe the first two to three months of my life I don’t remember obviously. I’ve always wondered what it’s like there. One day I hope to go there because I fell in love with a lot of their sports teams and I want to meet my biological brother. My favorite sports teams in Oklahoma are the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA, and the colleges of Oklahoma State (The Cowboys), Oklahoma (The Sooners), and Tulsa (The Golden Hurricanes). I started paying attention to the NBA when my brother Scott bought NBA 2k11 I played with every team and found myself playing with the Thunder the most, because I loved playing with Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook.
One of the most difficult things I have ever experienced is moving to Idaho before my junior year of high school from Utah. Despite this being a common occurrence for people it was hard for me because it uprooted me from the community I had lived in for the past seven years, and the people I loved. It caused me to leave friends that I grew up with and that I couldn’t imagine leaving. And forced me to meet new friends and discover a new place. As I have had time to reflect on my experiences it causes me to realize that it doesn’t matter where you are, or the people you know, but how you react in the situation.

The Vermont Economy The economy in Vermont today, is doing very well. The reason the economy is doing so well, is due to the states location. Since most of Vermont’s income is based off of the production of dairy, it is important that the state has the appropriate land and weather to support farming. The most important part of the success of Vermont’s economy are the jobs available, which allow people to make money and to participate in fun activities.
My home state is Texas, and a problem Texas faces is an overall mindset of systemic racism, sexism, and xenophobia. Texas is a very conservative state, thus many of the policies passed by our legislation are written at the expense of women and minorities. Although I might sound highly critical of our state government, I do not believe that these negative mindsets are deliberate attempts to put others down, I feel that it is simply an ignorance to the issues women and minorities face, and a lack of empathy. Ignorance is easily countered by thorough education. The easiest way to solve this is for us constituents of these politicians, to bring the issues that affect us to the forefront.

Growing up in Texas What is it like growing up in Texas? I have people always state that their home state is the best place to grow up, but I can honestly say where I grew up was the best. We had some much to do and so much to see.
When I was 14 I had to move to San Clemente, California. I had already recently moved temporarily to Texas while a house was made ready for us on the military base. “The house is ready!” my mother had said excitedly, after being on the phone for a few minutes. “It’s time to go back?”
Growing up i always struggled with coming to terms with how i was raised and my environment. I was raised in Brentwood, New York, in a community commonly known for gang violence and troubled teens. It was a very scary place at a young age i remember all the extra lockdown drills we had, all the kids crying because they were scared of the gunshot they just heard whether it be a few blocks down or just outside our school window. I remember kids coming to school crying because of the gang war that happened on their street the night before. I remember my principle having to walk me to the school gate because the creepy old man wouldn't leave 7 year old me alone and how i was afraid of just belonging to a community like that.
